Venezuela
The assessment study of Venezuela on the status of trade in
biodiversity-based products and services in the Amazon region, prepared under
the formulation phase of the Regional BioTrade Programme, selected 2 product
groups that meet BioTrade criteria and have real trade potential. Ecotourim
was identified as a potential service. The study was discussed and validated
with key stakeholders in Caracas on 17 May 2006 at the "Centro de Estudios
Integrales del Ambiente" at the University of Venezuela. For more information
