Brazil

The assessment study of Brazil on the status of trade in biodiversity-based products and services in the Amazon region, prepared under the formulation phase of the Regional BioTrade Programme, selected 4 product groups that meet BioTrade criteria and have real trade potential. The study was discussed and validated with key stakeholders in Manaus and Belem on 26-27 June and 29-30 June 2006, respectively. The workshops were conducted with the additional financial support of the local governments of Manaus and Belem.
