Bolivia
The technical focal point of the National BioTrade Programme
in Bolivia, "Fundación Amigos de la Naturaleza - FAN", conducted the assessment
study of Bolivia on the status of trade in biodiversity-based products and
services in the Amazon region. The study, prepared under the formulation phase
of the Regional BioTrade Programme, selected 3 product groups that meet BioTrade
criteria and have real trade potential. The assessment was discussed and validated
with key stakeholders in the Amazon region from January to February 2006.
