1. Sustainability: integrating the BioTrade principles and criteria into businesses in order to make them socially and ecologically sustainable
    
2. Business development in key areas such as:

• Product and production improvement:  providing technical assistance to improve products and production processes that contribute to the competitiveness within the target markets.
   

• Quality: through tailored programmes aimed at implementing quality management systems according to the multiple rules, regulations and standards on quality for a specific value chain targeting a specific market.
   
• Export marketing and management:  technical assistance and training on export strategies, management knowledge and skills within companies.
